Searching for answers she finds an old package from a strange country in which there is a foreign map with a red dot on it. She flies to Germany to search for this place. There she is taken up by the Weber family who help her look for the marked spot...




Der Entsorgte Vater

After a divorce children usually stay with their mother. Sometimes fathers are refused any contact with their children by the mothers. This documentary shows how fathers deal with such bans. Director Douglas Wolfsperger himself is a father concerned who has not seen his daughter for a long time.




Little Paris

Luna lives in Little Paris, a small town with a copy of the Eiffel Tower on the roof of the local factory. She dreams of becoming a dancer. She knows she should go away from her home, from trivial odd jobs and a boring relationship. When the mysterious dancer G appears she falls in love with him and is encouraged to live her dream.




Novemberkind

Inga has grown up with her grandparents in the GDR, and believes her mother to have died in a swimming accident. One day a stranger turns up in her tranquil village and claims to have met Ingas mother in West Germany. Ingas world collapses when she realizes that the stranger is right and that her mothers escape to the West was hushed up by her grandparents.




Saila

An isolated district of a town changes into a parallel universe ruled by anarchy and violence. Here lives Saila in an empty apartment complex. While time and space are overlapping she gets visitors and the radio announces catastrophic events.

Julia Ostertag’s first long feature creates a dark dystopia low on words but strong with provocative images.




Tausend Ozeane (Thousand Oceans)

Meikel has to leave behind his best friend Björn when he returns from his holidays in the Maldives. Björn has decided not to return to everyday life. Back home, Meikel realizes something has happened during his absence which his family cannot talk about. He becomes curious and does everything to solve the mystery of Björns stay in the Maldives.




Trouble - Teatime in Heiligendamm

The documentation was made at the G8 summit 2007 in Heiligendamm and consists of impressions and interviews, amongst others with Wim Wenders, Susan George (former Vice President of ATTAC France), as well as the singers Bono (U2), and Campino (Die Toten Hosen). The scenes are mixed with questions and commentaries by the police, activists, and local residents.

Sarah has been murdered a year ago and her mother Anne does not get over the loss. After a suicide attempt her son Simon comes home to look after her. He experiences the complete break-up of the family: the father has an affair. He himself falls in love with Sarahs best friend who carries a secret having directly to do with her death.




Jerichow

Jerichow, a poor village in the North-East of Germany. Here three people meet: Thomas, young, strong, taciturn; Ali, a bit worn but still affable, a Turk with his money in cafes; Laura, his wife, attractive, reserved. They get more and more involved in their passions and secrets, until what they want from one another seems only possible by treason.
