Do I still belong here?
I really do not know so well
Why I left this beach.

The urban landscape brings to mind the crash of nature and technology in an especially clear way: an intermingling of the past and the present. All this is again dominated by climatic conditions and the natural course of time.
A traves del espacio (Durch den Raum)

The video A "Traves del Espacio" originated after a stay in the jungle of Peru is made from digitalised 16mm black and white film material. An old woman tells of the effect of plants which are traditionally used in the rain forest, the shaman of the village reports about the training procedure for becoming a healer and the changes that have taken place.

In this film I have tried to connect four things. On one hand, I have united the film and photography, on the other hand, the analogue and the digital. The film shows the transformation from analogue to digital photography. This transformation is shown by means of Akeras that simply make themselves naked and so turn themselves inside out. The film was made with a 16mm-film camera and then every single frame of the film was digitally photographed in order to turn it into´a film or video.

The fatal accident of my flat-mate on 2.5.2007, during a semester abroad on Teneriffa, is the start of experiments with images and sound. In the video I fall back on film material which was produced during the stay.
