Machinima-Workshop

"Peacemaker"
(presentation of this workshop's films on Su, November 9 16:30 Roter Saal)

"Machinima" is a made-up word of "machine", "cinema" and "animation". Machinimas are movies produced with so-called "Game Engines". These programs are used by game designers to create settings and characters for video- and pc-games. During the workshop the participants become directors and game designers themselves. They can design their own objects, graphics and sounds to the game and create the plot individually.

Two of the most famous Machinima-Artists, Friedrich Kirschner and Jana Dugnus are conducting the workshop. After a basic introduction about the technical standard and the diverse genres all participants can develop their own 3D-Animation in different teams.

The created films are going to be presented at the filmfest the next day.
