Like a Dragon (Ryû Ga Gotoku: Gekijô-ban)

Miike's adaption of the video game Yakuza into a film is certainly quite different to any Hollywood film. Miike has almost no plot, figures disappear as quickly as they come in this postmodern context. The story about the ex-Yakuza Kirya fascinates us with its brilliant and weird action scenes which are only too well known to connoisseurs of the game.
