New International Cinema

In its 21st year the series, New International Cinema, endeavours once again to cover the whole spectrum of the international film. The films that are the work of 15 directors come from 4 continents and 13 different countries and so reflect this fascinating geographical and social diversity.

Films presented include from South America "The Pope's toilet", from Asia "Singapore Dreaming" and "Summer Palace" (China), from Africa "Daratt - Dry Season" (Chad), from Europe "Tapas" (Spain), "Dialogue avec mon Jardinier" (France), "You, The Living"(Sweden), from the Middle East "The Band's visit"(Israel), from North America "Away from her" (Canada) as well as "The Darjeeling Limited" (USA, although the latter takes place in India).
