The "Heinrich" - Audience Award

Award Ceremony: Peter Twiehaus
Su, November 11 6:30 pm CinemaxX 5

Already as a teenager he spent his entire pocket-money on cinema tickets. Today he is a "film-maniac", obsessed with the world of film. He is entertained by Julia Roberts, loves the stories of Pedro Almodóvar, he is rolling the aisles when Bully Herbig hits the screen and is touched by Andreas Dresen.

About cinema he loves the moment, when the lights shut down and he plunges into another world. Then, Peter Twiehaus is at ease and at work at the same time; the man has turned his passion into a profession. While studying at the Free University of Berlin (French and Science of Communication) he was working as an assistant for "Rias2" radio. In Paris he started to produce reports fort he radio.

Stays at DW-radio and -television and collaboration at a news agency in Bonn followed. Since 2001 Peter Twiehaus worked fort he SFB, first as an author fort he cultural magazine "Ticket". For several years he has been the "Filmvorführer" (projectionist) of RBB television and film buff of the ZDF morning show. For 3sat he reported live from film festivals like the Berlin International Film Festival and Venice.

At the filmfest Braunschweig Peter Twiehaus will host the late night talks and the filmfest-gala.
