In a private automobile cemetery in the Neander Valley by Düsseldorf they are all just rusting away: cars from the 1950s, once beautiful gleaming chrome. But suddenly there's life!! Motors start, doors slam, wheels screech. The cars wake from their deathly quiet. They gather for their final trip...

There once was a fox that lived on Rehy Hill. It had its den in a cliff overlooking the sea. Sand animation based on an Irish fairy tale. The sly fox tricks everyone around him. The sand Naomi Wilson worked with comes from Rehy Hill near Limerick.

5. Synossi

Director: Dario Acocella, Music: Michelangelo Carbonara
I 2003, 18 min, DV, colour and b/w, ESbr>
A trip into the world of memories; a trip through the memory, which often retains things in distorted perspectives. "Synossi" is a trip through the subconscious.

6. On the Sunny Side of the Street

Director: Jo Bub/Willy Landt, Music: Craig Billy
D 2003, 4 min, DV, b/w, without dialogue

There is a lot going on in "On The Sunny Side Of The Street". Here someone is having a hard time barbecuing a wiener, here someone else is trying to read his paper - trying, because the smoke from the barbecue gets in the way. A combination of Dixieland, animation and slapstick reminds us of film's early day.

7. The great yiddish love

Director: Diane Nerwen, Sound: Alex Noyes
USA 2002, 15 min, Beta SP, b/w, GS

Berlin and New York are the scenes of action: "The great yiddish love" presents Marlene Dietrich, living in American exile, and her substitute Zarah Leander, who is supported by the Nazis. This is a melodrama about love, emigration and treachery.

8. Today

Director: Christoph Kellner, Music: Wolfram Kellner
D 2003, 4 min, 35 mm, colour, without dialogue

An animated cycle about growing and prospering, heights and depths, joy and suffering, transience and death - a music clip about life as seen from a flower pot.

9. Fast Film

Director: Virgil Widrich, Sound: Frédéric Fichefet
A/L 2003, 14 min, 35 mm, colour, without dialogue

A kiss, a happy couple. But suddenly the woman is kidnapped. The man sets off to rescue her. This venture takes us to the centre of the earth and into the realm of Evil.

With an amazing amount of work coloured pictures from various film classics have been cut out and put together to create a collagelike new film.
